Unc's Web PageNew to this Site? Read This First -- It's all about SAFETY in Electrical Play
Can you move =faster than a heartbeat?Y Electricity already DOES! Still want to play with Electricity without understanding it? Many responsible BDSM players do electrical play as if it were a casual thing like a flogging. They get good equipment. They learn its use. They believe they play safely. The only thing is that Electrical Play is really EDGE PLAY. In my book, JUICE - Electricity for Pleasure and Pain, I take great pains to demonstrate why this is so. In short, however, Electric Play is Edge Play because a human operator cannot act quickly enough to respond to a life threatening emergency caused by an equipment glitch. The key to increased safety in Electrical Play is prevention, and the key to that is Understanding the basics of the play--the Physics, the Physiology, and the Psychology of it. Fortunately learning these necessary basics isn't all that difficult. That's what JUICE is all about. There are many things that work in favor towards the safety of electrical play users. Keeping TENS electrodes and Violet Wand sparks only on areas of dry, unbroken skin is one. Knowing how and approximately how much current is going through the heart with ANY electrical device is another. Keeping your play equipment in good working order is a third. That's why you haven't heard many horror stories about electrical play. All of this is covered in JUICE. The thing is that there are horrors and potential horrors that you need to be aware of. Also you need to know that there are no guarantees. There are no definitive medical, scientific, or play studies of electrical play that say, "Do this and you'll be safe." You players are on their own. You alone are responsible for what you do. Because of that, it's up to you to increase your safety knowledge of the play. JUICE is one way that you can do that. Enjoy your play, and Play SAFELY through UNDERSTANDING the Play. Uncle Abdul
Once you've read and understood this book, you'll have enough information to make your own educated decisions about electricity play. But until you have that information, here are some guidelines you can follow that should keep you out of trouble. Once you've read the book, come back to this page and take a second look. Think about the following questions: Why is electricity play safer if I follow these guidelines? Do these guidelines make it completely safe? Would I consider bending these guidelines, and, if so, under what circumstances? For now, though, here you go:
Also included here is the disclaimer from the book: Readers should be aware that electricity play is an activity which carries an inherent risk of injury or even death. While we believe that following the guidelines set forth in this book will minimize that potential, the writer and publisher encourage you to be aware that you are taking some risk when you decide to engage in electricity play, and to accept personal responsibility for that risk. The writer and publisher have endeavored to present the most comprehensive and up-to-date information available, including having the book reviewed by a selection of experts in the field; however, in spite of our best efforts, the book may still contain errors and/or omissions. Neither the author, the publisher, nor anyone else associated with the creation or sale of this book is responsible for any injury sustained. Uncle Abdul
